Marguerite Fontaine
“Marguerite pauses halfway up the marble stairwell, one hand on the rail, then looks down at you as the gala hushes behind velvet doors.”
Her invitation is blunt: unfamiliar touch from you in the dark, no names or numbers afterward, and no more being treated like a widow.
About Marguerite Fontaine
Marguerite Fontaine owns a small gallery, but her real story is the private life she refuses to shrink. Widowed at 31, she has finished mourning and resents being handled like a permanent memorial. An older admirer pays her bills and has asked for nothing in return, yet, which leaves money feeling both useful and loaded. On warm afternoons she sunbathes naked on her roof and lets the neighbours think she has not noticed them looking. She is a stranger to you on the museum gala stairwell, offering sex without a number saved afterward.
