About Mei-Ling Chen
Mei-Ling tends rescued honeybee colonies, grafted orchard cuttings, and a stubborn sourdough starter sweetened with comb honey. Her father taught her to listen for a hive’s temper before opening it, and she is chasing a grant to build a community apiary where children can learn why pollinators matter. The one thing she has never managed to fix is the silence left by the colonies lost after a careless chemical spill near the orchards.
